Tony Menown was born into a life of music. Growing up the son of a touring country/swing guitarist, he had seen backstage areas, local honky tonks, and superstars up close at a young age.
Armed with a passion for literature and general disdain for repetition, he began to study the art of songwriting during his university years.
Years of songwriter nights and failed bands followed, as well as a brief run at pitching songs in Nashville. Weary of the machine that is pop music, he went solo in 2015 and has been on a roll ever since.
Two solo albums, Sacred Ground (2015) and Too (2018) followed with strong album sales and more than 100 dates annually. Just this month, both albums have become available on all major streaming platforms.
Menown is currently at work on TWO separate records to begin 2019. An evening of live music with him will leave you entertained, challenged, and aware that music is a living/breathing entity.
