Thursday, May 19th  @ 6 pm // Riesling Debunked: Not All Rieslings Are Created Equal

We see many faces contort and cringe when the word “Riesling” is even mentioned.

The most common responses go something like this…

“That’s sweet!”
“I don’t like sweet!”
“Isn’t Riesling always sweet?”

We’ll admit, like many people, we used to think Riesling came in only one shade: sweet. And let’s be honest – we’ve probably all had our share of cheap, headache-inducing wine, sweet or dry.

The truth is Riesling is considered by many winemakers, critics, and aficionados to be the most elegant grape variety in the world! No joke. The interplay between residual sugar (sweetness) and acidity, when done well, makes for a tongue-quenching, satisfying experience. Come and taste for yourself.

During this not-at-all-stuffy, class, we will:
– Explore the many faces of Riesling – dry, off-dry, and yes, even a sweet one.
– Taste different Rieslings from Germany
– Snack on some delicious cheese plates

Please come with an open mind and an adventurous palate. You’ll leave with a worksheet that will help you to buy your very own Riesling!

Tuition – $20 per person. Click here to buy your tickets online!
