SGF – Wine Camp: The Importance of Oak in Wine

April 23, 2019 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Vino Cellars
2137 W Republic Rd | Springfield

Why Wine Camp? Well inquiring minds and wine lovers (aka winos) alike will dig these fun, yet educational tastings  featuring fun activities (aka wine topics) ranging from focusing on specific regions (think Italy, France, etc) or going a bit more broad and diving in headfirst into a specific varietal. Each tasting experience will include education from one of our four “counselors” (aka somms) as they rotate through and share their areas of expertise. Wine Camp will meet the 4th Tuesday of each month starting in March…with “summer break” in June & July.

The session of Wine Camp we’ll be welcoming in counselor Mike Ward from Major Brands (he’s a certified somm!) as he walks us through the effects of oak on wine, along with the role weather and soil play. This is a “camp night” you won’t want to miss!

Cost is just $25 per person, per class and will include tasting, education and light snacks. Call 883-8466 to reserve your seats today. Click here to reserve online.
